The cause and extent of the injury is not yet known, but it seems there was a problem with a gun and after the matinee performance a male member of the cast was seen being carried to an ambulance looking very shaken with his right eye bandaged.
The show opened recently to rave reviews and is due to run until 27th November. It stars Elena Roger as Fosca with David Thaxton playing Giorgio..
The Donmar doesn’t carry understudies so there was no cover available last night.
Let's hope the injury is not serious and whoever it is I wish him a speedy recovery. Will post more news as soon as it becomes available.
