The legendary MGM star Debbie Reynolds who has starred in Singing in the Rain, The Unsinkable Molly Brown and That's Entertainment!  is celebrating more than 50 years in showbusiness by bringing her award-winning one-woman show, Debbie Reynolds Alive and Fabulous to the Apollo Theatre from Wednesday 28th April to Sunday 9th May, 2010.  This  will be her first London theatre performances for 34 years

Prior to appearing in the West end she will do a 15 date tour of the UK, starting at Theatre Royal Norwich on Wednesday 7th April and then visiting Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff, Brighton, Bristol, Birmingham, Basingstoke, Leicester, Windsor, Southend, Northampton, Cambridge, Malvern and Leeds.

The show features MGM movie clips as Debbie reminisces about her career, many husbands and her life full of song and dance. She is one of the few actresses who danced with both Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.  She calls it a variety show and she does impressions of Barbra Streisand, Mae West, Katherine Hepburn and James Stewart!

Miss Reynolds described herself as a "movie-oholic" with  an extensive collection of memorabilia with over 4,000 costumes from the silent screen period up to the 1970s, including  Carmen Miranda’s turbans, a pair of  Judy Garland’s ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz,  John Wayne’s guns and that white windswept dress worn by Marilyn Monroe from The Seven Year Itch. Nearly all of the money she makes is put towards the creation of a Hollywood museum.
